C-Care protocol Requirements NJ FIREARM CARRY

GSCC Handgun Proficiency Training

At Guarden State Career Training, we offer both initial and renewal certifications for SORA Level 2 officers to keep their red cards active. In New Jersey, armed security officers must also complete the C-Care Protocol handgun proficiency course before renewing their armed carry permits, while RPOs need to qualify each year to meet state standards. Our program serves as a convenient one-stop shop for guards to stay up to date with all the requirements necessary to remain employed as armed security officers in the state. Please note that this training requirement involves a separate application process through the FARS section of the New Jersey State Police Concealed Carry Permit portals.  Call us to learn more.

Shooting instruction is provided by a New Jersey State-certified firearms instructor, who must give trainees a copy of their certifications and advise them on the lawful and safe handling and storage of firearms in the state. GSCC Firearms instructors offer in-person New Jersey use-of-force instruction and target training at a firing range to demonstrate proficiency. Firearms training can take place at any facility equipped to meet these objectives.
